Electronic scrap often contains heavy metals that are regulated as hazardous waste if it is not recycled. This includes CRT monitors and televisions, which contain lead in the monitor screen glass. BWS processes 100% of the electronic scrap it handles in a domestic, R2/RIOS and ISO 14001 certified facility.
BWS can also provide certified hard drive destruction services. We will record individual serial numbers and then degauss or physically shred the hard drives. The shreds are then segregated by metal type and returned to the scrap metal market.
