BWS will work with your staff to properly identify hazardous waste constituents and characteristics. Our experienced field chemists can perform a broad range of pre-transport analyses to characterize unknown waste streams. This ensures any hazardous waste is properly transported and disposed of according to state and federal regulations.

BWS provides appropriate DOT-rated containers for all regulated waste streams. BWS maintains a complete inventory of PGI, PGII and PGIII containers, from cubic yard boxes to poison inhalation exemption canisters in its secure warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. Where possible, we use natural poly drums for accumulation of bulk liquids—allowing the waste generator to easily monitor the available storage capacity in the drum. In some instances, BWS will dispatch a team of experienced field technicians to package your hazardous waste for you.

For any of our hazardous waste transportation services, BWS provides all the necessary shipping papers, markings, labels, and placards as required by DOT regulation (49 CFR Part 172). Shipping papers we provide our hazardous waste clients include, but are not limited to:

• Biennial Hazardous Waste Reporting
• Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest (EPA Form 8700-12)
• Bill of Lading
• Land Disposal Restriction (LDR)
• Certificate of Destruction
• Certificate of Recycling

As a service for you, BWS will retain this hazardous waste documentation for a minimum of five years.

All of our drivers are certified to operate their vehicles and carry DOT health cards. They receive rigorous training upon first hire and then routine, quarterly update training in hazardous waste transportation thereafter.

BWS has a fleet of various permitted waste transportation trucks and trailers with lift gate capabilities to safely transport any drum or box of waste. We can also provide vacuum trucks and roll-off containers whenever required. Transport permits and certificates of insurance can be found on our resources page and/or are provided to you.

BWS transports all hazardous wastes to fully permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) facilities which passed our internal audit. We maintain strong relations with a broad range of various hazardous waste TSD facilities and can provide waste removal services for any type of waste you require.

Audit packages of the TSD facilities and Certificates of Destruction for your regulated waste can be provided to you at your request.
